It is amazing but the madness of groups, their weird conformity to the greater foolishness is as prevalent today as it has been down the centuries. If you think about how beauty has been mandated by bureaucrats, the one group you could count on to NOT understand beauty most of the time, it fits the perverse nature of humans for things to turn out this way. In a place of heavy labor the small and weak will carry the heavy things and the strong will watch and dictate how it should be done.

Wilson Myshkin has so much material given to him from real life that he could fill up a 100 hour opera with just his songs only.

The plant Nazis (OK the subset is grass Nazis) make it law that the entire city has every possible area of residential dirt covered in a mat of green, much like their institutions are surrounded by. I would call it lemming green.  They also dictate that all lawns, (yes and in the desert no less) must be green, of one relative variety (NOT wild!) and OF A PRESCRIBED LENGTH.

So the plant Nazis get out the ruler to see if you have been in compliance with their God given length, the length that everyone knows is beautiful. Is it measured in centimeters or inches? Heaven forbids us to let nature ever take over. Heaven forbid that plants which occur in nature, the ones that need less water and are hardy, be what is allowed to grow on lawns. These denizens of the Chairman Mao want to be club have actually drawn up lists of what the acceptable plants are and the unacceptable ones!!!! Spring Chulian flower is not acceptable, it grows everywhere. Scratted Goomicar, no no no the Mayor once stepped on one. The Pilthy Creckkagar? Yes yes, its on the Good list! This one dies if you don’t water it every 3 hours with a mixture of sucrose water, flax-banana paste and eye gorp from the Himalayan sub-Yak.

Failure to adhere to the plant Nazis list will lead to fines that are transferred to ones property taxes and if not paid will lead to the loss of ones house!!
(Proving yet for the millionth time who REALLY owns your house)

Could it be that the weaker plants hired lobbyists to pay kick backs to bureaucrats at the local level? Does the money move like it does with the never ending road crew jobs that plow under the same street over and over year in year out to a greater degree than Cool Hand Luke’s hole in the ground which got filled in and dug up?

Failure to comply is a failure of communication!

I guess we are ready to be shot outside the church for our buddies the weeds.

Bennie, Scrodo, Strango, Puffy, Slicer, Hugo and the many others, my weed buddies.

Frieda gets her tickets (finale)

February 4th, 2010

So how does this story end? Well Frieda and Damien run into each other at a Starbucks. Frieda wants to kill Damien as well as get back the Green Day tickets that she left at the murder scene which could implicate her in the murder of Seriula. They make small chit chat and ultimately Frieda poisons the drink of Damien while she asks him to head to the kitchen. When he comes back she takes leave to go to the bathroom when instead of doing that she rifles through his rooms in search of the green day tickets. Damien notices a chip on the glass of his guest.

When she returns the conversation turns to a morality system that one of Damiens old friends possesses, that being the putative good will girl, Anika Trask. He tells Frieda that Anikas system is the most pure and perfect morality system on the earth. The system is simple, the only evil or wrong that a person can do is to cause suffering to living creatures and that all else is permitted. No wearing of red shirts, dancing on Saturdays, walking backwards or anything else that a cult or government might call wrong could be bad. Only causing suffering to a living creature. And this would be amended to survival issues come first. Freida balks at this and makes the  claim that everyone has their so called morality systems but that when their actions are analyzed there are many hypocrisies floating about. People hunt animals for pure sport maiming and killing them, they support industries that cause great torment to them as well. And when confronted by it they merely answer that the meat tastes good and that they feel no guilt at causing this suffering. Why does killing humans or harming them end up in a special category to be respected, is this not self serving morality? What about institutional mistreatment of prisoners many of whom are political in nature as well as innocent? Isn’t kidnapping people for the sake of of the potential profits for someone else not an issue of law but of convenient moral categorizations? Through out all of man-kinds choices accuracy, truth and logic are repeatedly ignored in favor of superstition, greed, cruelty, power lust and all other manner of immoral function.  Frieda states that her morality system is superior to all others, she simply does what ever she wants and cares not a whit for others and thus is above hypocrisy as she makes no claims to purity and expects none from others.

Damien answers that the system is indeed pure and that Frieda’s examples show situations where suffering was caused.  Euphoric from the Gluconium dust that he has been imbibing on he proceeds to claim that doing good makes one feel a deep sense of enjoyment and purpose. Why even at that moment he had noticed a chip in Frieda’s glass and poured out her drink while giving her his so that she might have a much better experience. His sacrifice for her had lifted him above the day to day to a plane of consciousness that was truly ecstatic.

Frieda recoils in horror at hearing this since now she had ingested fully the poisonous drink.  She rails against his morality system while calling him a murderer, that he had killed poor Frieda because of a misguided and twisted sense of logic. Damien is reduced to saying huh and duh for the remainder of the finale.   Thus concludes the Popeye suite.

More of the story

December 28th, 2009

Mentioned earlier was the theme of the first story. The second story of the Satz clock connects into the other stories but is strongly independent.

In song one of the middle story which intersects with the others,  Brenna sings of the joys of her partnership with Damien. In the following song they have a premonition that they may be caught by Damiens fresh new wife Seriula. Seriula catches them and then she attempts to harm Damien but Brenna stops her and pokes her in the eye. Seriula slinks off making menacing gestures.

Next she hires Frieda to kill them both. Frieda tells Seriula to go to Branson and do Karaoke while the deed is done.Frieda makes fun of Seriulas swollen eye. Frieda then sneaks up on the couple and steals their clothing along with a samurai sword. Then Frieda meets up with Seriula and takes a gold bar as payment after showing the bloody clothing and photo-shopped pictures as proof. Then in a shocking turn Frieda kills Seriula and then leaves the Samurai sword to frame Damien who works for Seriula. As she leaves she accidentally drops her Green day tickets that she ordered on the net.

Brenna finds Seriula seemingly dead with Damiens sword. She covers up for him by disposing the body in a wood chipper. She regains consciousness and then Brenna is forced kill her by making her watch Dr. Phil analyze Larry Kudlow while she strangles her. (LK “Drill baby drill, King Dollar!” DP “And how does this make you feel?”) She then takes the Samurai sword to protect Damien.

Damien and Brenna then have a bizarre conversation where Brenna thinks that Damien has killed his wife but he does not quite understand where she coming from.

Seriula left a facebook message explaining to everyone that Brenna or Chuckie robbed her gold bar and instructs Chuckie to find Brenna and straighten out who did what. Damien then shows up at the business and Chuckie says that Brenna robbed the gold bar. Damien sees the open locked desk door where the gold bar was kept and the green day tickets on the floor and picks up the tickets to protect Brenna.

Brenna has a nightmare in which she sees the triple headed monster of Gordon Brown, Wilson Myshkin and Seriula warning her that her time would come to suffer a great betrayal.

Brenna have another misaligned conversation where now Damien thinks Brenna has robbed Seriula and Brenna thinks Damien killed Seriula.

The great finale occurs as Frieda goes to kill the couple after realizing that the tickets were left at the scene of the murder.

Afterward the characters that remain are caught up in the same momentum that the others in part on the SC.

An underlying force to the satz clock

December 14th, 2009

A centrally important concept is that animals are living creatures and have the same claims to moral protection as do humans. To make the claim that you do not have to respect animals at a level at least close to humans would be the same as claiming you have the right to hurt humans just because you want to do it. Your position is for not harming living creatures, you can do anything you want to any creature or a morally conflicted position that is in between the two.

In the Satz clock this will be elaborated on, in humorous versions as well as more detailed and serious ones.

No good deed goes unpunished

October 17th, 2009

One of the strong ideas that begins in the first part of the Satz clock emanates from a woman who is amusingly called “the goodwill girl”. Her name is Anika Trask. Like a flower that briefly appears, her inner beauty is stunning and her impression will last forever. Her contribution being her philosophy is that there is only one bad thing that you can do which is to cause suffering to living creatures. All else is O.K.

There is no crime in wearing a red shirt or facing North on a Saturday. You can kick rocks,  just don’t hurt your foot. Survival is a modifier and it grants a very wide latitude.  Her deep and precise idea is spread and developed by others and the gray areas are explored. Violent opposition to this concept comes from others that have their visions of what morality is and view this idea as a threat to their structures, money and power base.  Anika is driven to live her creed daily and uses Google earth to locate areas of trouble and to travel to them and help others. This is actually not in her creed which only states that you must try to avoid causing suffering.  Helping others is optional if you wish to do it.  She reasons that if most people simply stopped causing their own inflictions of suffering on others then an enormous transformation would occur that would be epic.  In her actions to help others her own daughter is neglected to a degree.

Out of her ideas spring much seemingly disconnected movement of people. While her demise is met in Nevada her influence is lasting, strong and central.

How we treat others systemically can spill over.

While watching the history channels show “Gangland” what stood out was how they were trying to demonstrate the barbaric nature of the gangs they were covering and the Dominican Republic gang (Trinitarios) which carried machetes and orchestrated attacks. But by far what stood out the most strongly was when they showed young people being put into jail and having to join a gang to stay alive. (And extrapolated out, then the gang said to them that they could not just join the gang for protection in jail but had to be active when they got out of jail) What kind of people run the justice system?

Instead of gangland, a show called political administration would be more interesting so as to track who is making the decision to create a situation where young people are being fed into a horror show that creates more people attuned to a very violent lifestyle. (Besides voters)  Of course never mind that what funds the gangs is largely due to prohibition. If an institution takes custody of a person then it is their job to protect them. There should never be a situation where a person has to worry about their survival. The people running the prisons have the keys and they construct the structure, if there are further assaults it is a crime of their making along with the participants. There is even a pride in some circles about the cruelty in these institutions. But when we damage people then we should not be surprised when more violence spills over into our world. We should be encouraging people to be contributing participants in the society not hateful tally holders with an ax to grind. The ugliness of our institutions belies the fact that we are a primitive and ugly society. Hopefully this will change.

One of the many flavors

September 6th, 2009

Since the Satz clock is so large it is not easy to just describe what is going on without serious loss of context. So we will get a description of it in many essays and small writings. The larger segments will be the story line.

One of the categories that is so useful to this work is “Atmospherics”. Anui would be a good one word atmospheric though the term can take on many forms. Alban Berg always chose very good subjects that matched the atmospherics of his compositional techniques. When you follow the story of Lulu and Wozzeck at no point do you think that they don’t match quite well.

The atmospherics of the Satz Clock are heavily reliant on what the author calls “corn haze” which refers to random and/or purposeful blurring of reality.

Governments supply huge amounts of corn haze so as to confuse their subjects and accomplish their goals. Salespeople, meme spreaders, many institutions, hucksters and a broad assortment of con people work the haze.

If the drug industry wants to conduct policy that protects and advances their profits they undertake large amounts of corn haze to appear to be protecting us. The universe naturally dishes out copious amounts of the haze as evidenced by some of the most brilliant scientists plodding about in an erroneous path.

Paths such as the work of Dr. Linus Pauling in vitamin C, Einsteins struggle with quantum mechanics and economists (possibly a true psuedo-science) who accept lock stock and barrel broken models and ridiculous notions. (Upstanding good people with Nobel prizes can make errors too) Thus if people of this pedigree can make errors of magnitude how can the common person ever not be horn swaggled most of the time. Corn Haze is at its nastiest when it comes to peoples trust and belief in other figure-head humans. Usually it is obvious in the end who the bad guys are, that the Bastille is what needs to be stormed. Who doesn’t know that Hitler and Stalin were monsters? (Well maybe Amadinijad doesn’t) But during their rise to prominence both were swaddled in copious amounts of corn haze. The industrialists thought that “We can work with this fellow, Hitler.” The Vatican viewed National Socialism as a good alternative to Communism. Both fascist and communist monsters destroyed their opposition by ruthlessly killing and imprisoning them so the only opinon young people ever heard was pro-monster propaganda.

People today sometimes do not view things as being similar to the always repeating past but while the monsters of today may not reach the lofty standards of the past such as Caligula their super charged Corn Haze is of the highest quality ever had. Focus groups test dull thinkers and help formulate the finest sophistries possible. Some of the so called press in many instances are little more than tabloids that rubber stamp the story line that the prominent power brokers deem fit. Sensational trash that holds only a few embers of accuracy with fantasy woven in to support the controlling interests vision of correctness. From all angles the citizen is being told what repressive measure is being done to “protect them”. The poison is being fed tirelessly through all outlets and it is very uncommon for you to not run into the carefully crafted talking points that other institutions have created for their own dark gain in your conversations with typical people. Corn Haze is the atmospheric that the Satz Clock swims in, embraces and ultimately tries to destroy. The music which may seem at times to be drenched in corn syrup is really attuned to the Corn Haze. The story ultimately ends with a sharp degree of clarity… so we expect.

Story Line

THE STORY 11

This outline of the book form gives a glimpse at a small part of the story in part one of the Satz Clock. There will be continuous updates as time goes on.

The opening of the book begins by talking about the events that lead to world war one. During prewar Europe the countries were about to embark on a devastating folly that helped no one and whose objectives could not even be stated clearly. Many were attempting to avoid the war and one leading Frenchman almost succeeded but he was assassinated. Many bizarre coincidences happened and some actions sent people to locations which triggered others to go to theirs. Europe was full of energy and the large body of foolish ideas that were embedded into the cultures conscientiousness were at work. Notions of National identity and histories that reveled in the great armies of the past such as Caesar, Alexander, Napoleon and so on gave of a vision of war as the most glorious way to lead ones life. (and to quickly end it) Celine said it best of the reality of it ,

“Were we all by ourselves then? A column of men, in fours behind each other?  The music stopped.  Then I said to myself, as I saw how things were going, ‘It’s not such fun after all. I doubt if its worth it.’  And I was going to go back. But it was too late!  They’d shut the gate behind us, quietly; the civilians had. We were caught, like rats in a trap.” (Journey to the end of the night)

On the eve of the great folly none of the participants thought something very large was going to happen. Just like the opening to the civil war the whole thing was supposed to be over very quickly. There were many events that were needed in synchronicity and they indeed happen. The Archduke of Austria was not even supposed to go to Serbia (Oddly he was actually sympathetic with the cause of the people that killed him as opposed to the person that was supposed to have went) so because of bizarre coincidence he goes down and as he is driving a weird twist of fate causes the road to be blocked. Instead of waiting it out his driver takes a turn into another street in an attempt to go around. He gets lost and in an equally weird event his driver pulls right up to the assassin. The Archduke is killed and world wars one and two are unleashed with unthinkable consequences.

Occasionally large groups of people take actions that affect many others and the total summation of all of their simultaneous movement create a special affect that is grossly profound. These synchronicity symphonies of humans are Satz Clock moments. For good or bad, they do occur in history. The musical piece is about just such an event with many implied outlooks on it.

Overly simple first step in the story line…

Wilson Myshkin, is told to do world improving, in a pattern by his hunting partner Gordon Brown. Wilson is directed to use the phrase: The ideal membership stakes debt free path to wealth and security zone. A fine example of a government program reduced to a meme so as to sell it to the maximum number of gullible observers. There is a sequential anagram message that Gordon is trying to spell. Thus he kills in the first city which is Barrow Alaska where Wilson presents the letter to the townsfolk “T”. (the first letter of The idea membership stakes debt free path to wealth and security zone) He will not kill again until the next letter of his message occurs which is in Calgary which gets the Letter I in the presentation ceremony performed by Wilson Myshkin. Wilson continues down to Yellowknife (then Juneau, Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle, Eatonville, Yellowstone, Pinedale, Coer’D’Alene, Salt Lake City, Portland, Crescent City, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas (where the great Octagon suite takes place) Phoenix, Tuscon, Nogales, Hermosilla, Guadelajara, Acapulco, Managua, Tegucigalpa, Corpus Christi, Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Montreal, Albany, Boston, Waterbury, Newark, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Richmond, Raleigh, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Kingston and finally ending in the most appropriate place, Port Au Prince. Each city has its own special piece such as the sensible Google Earth song being played over San Jose. Features of the cities are used in the story and music so that each city has their own special treatment. Ultimately the Google Earth mapping feature is implemented throughout the Omni Opera/Book which goes through the cities of the world and ultimately ends in the frozen wasteland of Barrow Alaska again. The Story of part one should be self contained and complete while allowing for a continuation to the ideas that develop in the other parts.

Leading up until Los Vegas, the “Good will girl” who uses Google Earth to plan acts of kindness (all Google Earth users look into the cities for exacting locations and houses to plan out their events) is married to the brother of the cop, who is Joe Trask.

Four characters use Google earth to implement their plans. At least two are all killed. Two other characters in sympathy with the intentions of the original characters will then take up the functions that the dead people were pursuing so as to fulfill their wishes. Within the key story development the main focus musically and story wise of the first part is that the international policeman (Joe Trask) who figures out that there is a pattern with the murders and is ultimately set to catching the killer.

Wilson is a motivational speaker.

  1. Wilson was a prosecutor that had a record number of false prosecutions.

  2. He is now a bureaucrat for the North American Harmony Zone.

  3. He recites the many building projects that have failed under him

  4. He constantly places letters, gives speech’s and bungles.

  5. He is drawn into the big scene setup with Joes’ trap that fails.

  6. He ceaselessly continues his adventures bolstered by public monies.

Joe Trask (His father changed his name from Trag to trask) the killer hunter is complex and not clearly a typical central police figure. He became a cop because of Joe Friday, and he changed his first name to emulate Friday. He first is sent to check out the strange death in Barrow. Joe runs a Bingo game for old folks and hunts. When he figures out that it is a pattern Killer he is impressed by the style but cannot reconcile that the dopey Wilson Myshkin is the person.

None the less he follows the pattern which he weirdly enough latches onto while doing a bingo game. He clicks onto the pattern as he is reading out Bingo numbers. He sets the trap in which he talks his brother who is married to the good will girl into going to Las Vegas and setting up as an ideal victim with a name that matches the letter of intended city. The brother uses romance to fool his wife who is deeply in love with him. He is not totally insincere but he is not totally honest either. Trask does not know the message yet and in error makes a wrong assumption. His brother and the good will girl do not know what he is doing fully and put her in the position of bait unknowingly. While setting up Myshkin, he himself is trapped by the killer who succeeds in killing the good will girl and punishing Trask. A lot happens in this suite and the other story elements cross.

. Later Trask in his pursuit of the killer has been developing an admiration of his cunning, strength and persona. Having an epiphany after Gordon is found dead, Joe continues the work that Gordon was doing.

Gordon Brown theme: At the Gate

First song reveals him to be a hunter and and community leader. Gordon is deeply loved by the community and he is frequently featured in the media as a great man. He has Mcgruff tattooed on his Arm. Gordons Sister is Sienna Brown. (Pera) She is a musician that tours. She suspects something is amiss in her brother and in a drugged bragging orgy he tells her what he has done. Anikas main morality of life was that there is only one immorality and that is the act of causing suffering to living creatures. (Anika had a daughter that she could not connect to on an emotional basis and could not even say her name.) One must make the decisions of life based on limiting the maximum amount of suffering that can happen to living creatures and do the best to manage the obvious conflicts that ultimately always occur. Sienna is faced with just such a conflict when finding out about her brothers murderous system. She ultimately kills Gordon and takes over the role of Anika (Akina) Trask, the good will googler. She also adopts her morality system.

So the good will googler dies and is replaced. The serial killer dies and is replaced. The stronger story that runs along side has a philosopher chess player and his set of aquaintances. More will be written later.
